So talking about the fellowship journey of 3 months, this time has really made a big impact on the way of my thinking. Amal career-prep fellowship is a Stanford University and PepsiCo funded 3-months long professional development program for university students or anyone looking for a job or an internship. The ultimate goal of this program is to make you a successful professional by focusing on key soft skills like teamwork, English, Communication, Leadership, Confidence, and Skills which are going to be beneficial for professional life.

My Life Before Amal

Before joining Amal Fellowship I was the kind of girl who was an introvert and doesn't feel comfortable in communicating with people and initiating a conversation was not my nature. Before that, I was only focusing on my job and studies but not any professional skill-building.

I always had a feeling that I am lacking somewhere in professional life. I had very little self-realization because I've never put myself into challenges and opened up myself for public speaking. One day, there was a random notification from my MS batch WhatsApp group, which was shared by one of my MS fellows, Join Amal, if You want to develop yourself professionally. I randomly had a look at it and applied for it to do something new and different out of my routine.

I got an interview call and luckily I got selected for the fellowship program. After this, I received a confirmation email.. Hurrayyy___!!!!

After Joining Amal:

During the first week of fellowship, we were asked to make a life-map that gave us an idea that at we point we are standing right now and what we have achieved in life till now. The activity of writing your goals was also very thoughtful that gave us direction for building a future step towards a successful career. The fellowship journey on a whole gave me an insight into what are some of the really important professional skills that are to be learned by every person who is struggling in life.

Impact on My Life:

From the very start, the thing I keep on admiring about this fellowship was to “Explore Your Abilities” and knowing that what you are capable of. Knowing that every person around you has some really unique talents and thoughts and that we can learn a lot from even small happenings and experiences of others. Hearing to the stories of fellow members gave an insight of a variety of struggles, success stories, downfalls, rising up, managing the toughest situations in their lives was the biggest and priceless learning from this fellowship.

Amal academy make a great toolkit for me in which I equipped all the tools (Softskills) carefully and use appropriately in my career I am grateful to Amal Academy and all the team they uplift me and many students, Thanks Amal Academy
